dc supply to single phase bridge rectifier

Respected sir/madam,
If we place a d.c source across the single phase bridge rectifier,what will be the output ?
we the output in-phase with voltage and current (unit p.f)?

A DC supply to a bridge rectifier is often used as a steering device to ensure the output polarity remains regardless of the polarity of the input.
And the output will be the same whether AC or DC is applied.
On DC the output will be equal to the input voltage less diode drop.
