i want to make a power supply for my black&decker handheld vacuum cleaner, it uses a johnson dc motor.
since the battery is dead i want to make the cleaner wired.

I tried to make a circuit on the falstad java applet simulator but no success.

Ps: Im a total beginner.

 

Just use a 12V power supply like a small car battery charger, add a 10000-20000µF capacitor in place of the battery pack and your good to go.

The slightly higher voltage will make it run slightly faster and produce alittle better suction.

You'll overrev and shatter the impeller long before your even close to blowing the motor, these motors take like 25-50VDC before the brushes get eaten by arcing and excess current.
