had this for years and it is lovely product. but...it's been 2 months that forward camera was occasionally having intermittent problem. i got new dashcam but wanted at least to see the construction and if possible try to fix this one too. and it worked...
brief search online only showed people asking how to open it and that was the trickiest part that i had do on my own:
two more are hidden in front face under rubber plugs (next to speaker). then sides can be pried open by inserting tiny screwdriver into provided holes and lifting them up. that exposes additional screws and once removed, clams shell separates. i did not need to take it completely apart but did so anyway (why waste the opportunity...).
carefully collected pink thermal paste to reuse it. FPC connectors are ZIF and use levers that need to be lifted to release cable. anyway reseating the cable for the main camera did the trick. the entire operation took about an hour. since i was in a hurry , i did not take many pictures to document steps. the only tools i used are tweezer and PH00 screwdriver.
