Well they finally got around to doing the impact mitigation project and it looks good.
The idea is to test on an asteroid that is out in space already just to see if it works right.

I think i would want to have at least three of these crafts in space just in case the first two dont work or are not enough, after all they will be depending on models to do the calculations.

A little worry is that during the test they disturb the local object field and send some hurdling toward earth. Hopefully there is little chance of that happening.

 

Hello there.I think the binary asteroid is known as 231937 (2001 FO32) I could very well be wrong, anyway,it will fly by at a distance of 1.2 million miles from Earth. But if you nudge it in the wrong direction.

Yeah. I was kind of in a rush. Even if I took it my time I'd get it wrong. I'll be deleting that post on the grounds of Missinformation but I keep the photo.

Maybe he is smokin the infinite time syndrome, where if it goes around enough it will eventually reach a flight path that intercepts Earth. If it takes too long though Earth might not be here anymore anyway.
