Hi,
We are making a conducted EMC test lab.
We have a room some 2m x 2m. It is totally lined with aluminium sheet walls and floor.
How should we earth the aluminium sheet?...
1..Earth it to the earth in the same supply lines that powers the LISN and Spec An and DUT?
2...Earth it to a stake driven into the ground beneath the EMC room?
Also, does the answer depend on whether the supply to the overall building is TNS or TNCS?
Also, supposing the Earth wire that comes to the EMC test room has snaked its way for 100m or so around a noisy building first, then suppose we use that to earth the alu sheet to, then will that spoil our test scan plots?
BTW, the electrical mains supply to the EMC room comes to just outside the room, and we then pass the cables through a hole in the wall.
