Hi,

I have my first year uni exams coming up, ie. electrical on monday.

done most of my revision but am struggling getting the theory of using complex numbers instead of phasors in my head - you know, the way of calculating the phase of a source etc.

does anyone of any good sites or could anyone explain to me themselves,

hi if you mean the phase shift and the phase angle then you have to draw a phasor diagram

 

that only works for simple ones, when you introduce more components you have to use complex numbers - e^jwt etc...

it can be done, i jst dont know how
