Hello all,
I’ve recently sarted collecting amps and loud speakers for enjoyment of quality sound. I successfully repaired my first crown amp by replacing shorted transistors.
I’d like to learn as much as possible about amplifier repair and diagnosis.
Can anyone one recommend some good learning materials regarding the topic?

Welcome to AAC!

It depends on how deeply you wish to venture into doing repairs. Do you wish to do repairs at a superficial level such as replacing fuses and capacitors, cleaning pots, etc.?

What is your background and knowledge of electronics?
Have you mastered Ohm's Law?
What do you know about BJT amplifiers, opamps, power supply circuits?

Thank you for the reply

I would like to get as in depth as possible.

I have my electrical ase, I’m proficient with a dvom testing resistance, voltage drop, etc. and I am comfortable soldering and replacing components from a board.

As for the last question I am not familiar with bjt amps, opamps, or power supply circuits.

Good to know.

In that case, look at the top banner of this All About Circuit screen and click on the Education tab.
It would be useful for you to go through the first three volumes, DC, AC and Semiconductors.

Happy reading and learning.
Come back and ask questions if you run into problems.
