I'm being asked to compare the values between a Type I and Type II amplifier, but only given equations for type I amplifier. Can someone tell me what I need to do differently in order to compare?
I've attached the schematics, the only difference I see is in Type I, there's a capacitor separating R1 and R2 and in Type II, R1 and R2 are voltage dividers, which means gain would be less than 1. But what I'm not understanding is how I would start the design to find R1 and R2. Oh also the two transistors are NPN and PNP
You saved your schematics as BMP file types that use a lot of bytes instead of as a compact PNG file type. Then you zipped them. A nuisance.
The amplifier types are very old and have not been used for many years. Philips used the TYPE I circuit in 1955.
Both use emitter-follower transistors so both have a voltage gain of a little less than 1.
The bias resistors for the output transistors are calculated by using Ohm's Law and the beta of the transistors.
