hi there, can you call a switch mode (AC-DC) power supply CNC power supply, or it will supply power to CNC machines?
Typically a CNC machine is never supplied via a SMPS as a principle supply , but they are sometimes used inside the system for minor, low current tasks.

Yes, and excellent value and function.

I think you did mention you used it for isolation routing of PCBs? How are your results? I have never been satisfied but might be willing to try again. If you get good results what are your secrets?

I have been using it in a hybrid process. I drill first then use toner transfer method, printing to wax paper, so I can easily line up the holes.

0.3mm tracks & separation. At a push it will do 0.2mm. I am currently working on software that will let me do D/S with plated holes.

The problem is that everyone does not have the background to detect any of the code violations!

The problem is that I don't want to pay ten times the price for someone else to add some earth connections. The bit I can't do is the mechanics and they are pretty good for the price.

I recall an incident on one DIY CNC forum where I visit, where a person was asking advice on a machine he wanted to use in a school.
The pictures he posted of the Chinese components he wanted to use included a power supply unit that had 3 AC power sockets for some eternal actuators, the sockets were the male variety!
I think they withdrew it after I pointed this out, remember, this was for a school!

As I wanted to add a probe connection for auto-levelling I had to go in the box and adding a few wires was no too taxing. That is well within my skill set but making the mechanics is not.
