Hi, I just have two questions. I need to be sure I'm getting the right part. I need a square wave generator and I'm looking at the part shown in the attachment. This will generate the square wave I need?

If this is the right part, then the second question is how to properly hook it up. I know nA and VM are the measurement devices, which I don't need. I don't know what kind of capacitor CL should be. The supply voltage will be 5V and pin 1 will be connected to this supply.

Thanks,
Mike

So what is the part you are talking about? The diagram provided no specific part. How can we decide if that no-name part is the right one?

All you need is a 0.1uF ceramic capacitor between Vcc (pin-4) and GND (pin-2).
No capacitor is required on the output pin (pin-3).
