I have an electronic TouchPad control on my ac unit. I have somehow messed up the program and locked the controls. I have disconnected it from power but it somehow retains the messed up program.is there any way to reset the board so it forgets the program. Is there some component that acts like a battery? Thank you
Jon

The unit is a Friedrichs Kuhl unit 115 volt 15 amp heat pump heat and cool model KHS10 A10A-B
the parenthesis on the right hand side shows the program and the sign underneath says override...when I switch back to heat it says override. Ty

Can you post a better photo?
Do you have remote control for the AC?
Here are the instructions for replacing the battery in the control panel.

Thank you for considering my dilemma these instructions are for an older type of control.I believe these new TouchPad use something like a tantalum capacitor on the circuit board level to maintain the settings in the event of power loss. I have mostly dealt with physical switch controls as I began a career in ac repair in 1971 ..again..thank you
