ClassD Amplifier Design and Parts

Hey Guys I am trying to build a class D amplifier and I am trying to decide whether to design it from scratch or get a schematic online and finish that.
A few specifications: Volume control knob, gain control knob(preferred), output impedance 4-8 ohm, output power: 25-100W.
Do you guys have any experience working with class D? If you can give me a schematic that you worked with/ know for sure works, I would be happy to work on that.
I found a really good design here on AAC by Mr Cezar Chirilla about class D but I need to add a volume control knob to that circuit and I am not sure where to add it.
Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Post the circuit or the referenced post and we can better help.

The best and easiest way to do Class D is a dedicated Class D audio amp IC, such as those from TI.

This is the post I was talking about
I know there are many good class D IC's but I want to build it from scratch or modify an already given design. That is my objective. I am trying to add a volume control circuit+ pre amplifier circuit to this but I am having trouble where would i add it and will it mess up the audio quality or power output of this amplifier.

You can add a volume control at the input (below).
Use a 10kΩ audio taper (not linear) pot.
Connect the wiper pin to input 2, the CCW pin to ground, and the CW pin to the audio source output.
To prevent the pot resistance from messing up the low-pass filter, change R2 to 22kΩ and C3 to 100pF.

What preamplifier circuit?

I am not sure about what pre amplifier circuit but I was thinking something like this https://www.electroschematics.com/440/low-noise-preamplifier/
I am not sure if this is going to mess up the amplifier circuit though. I am going to be feeding audio in through my phone using 3.5mm jack to split wires that goes to the input. Do I need a pre amplifier circuit?
Also I found a pot https://www.alliedelec.com/bourns-p...MIx8az7qfK3wIVxWSGCh2jVQVNEAQYASABEgKlpPD_BwE
would this be sufficient?
Thanks for helping me appreciate it @crutschow
