Hi,
I have a Clapton signature Stratocaster with vintage Noiceless stacked Humbuckers That gives me more than 100 Db boost ( 93 Db boost without the mid boost) . This is a stock guotar bought from Fender and I have plsyed a lot of then and they are always as loud. According to Friends very good in electronics its the best non linear active cuircuit they have ever seen buiit. Its got 4 cascaded Transistors 2 of them a Darlington couple. Its got 20 powerful resistors and 14 condensators among all the rest of things. It has 3 cascading 2N6429 transistors where 2 of them is a Darlington couple. The 4 th is an active load the 2N5087 transistor. They told me the 9 Volt battery is just the Starting fuel then the transistors voltage boosts it in the cuircuit. The condensors help store Energy so that the transistors can work with much more voltage than necessary. Then that gröp the transistors in the incredible voltage boost to 15 000 volt in signal strength. It has negative feed back but I am not sure it does anything becuse on the Clean channel with msster volume at 1 out of 10 and volume at 0,8 out of 10 I get 120 decibels. Most guitars dont get any volume at all at those extreme low settings. I got to no it was the ampere that was dangerous to the amp but after playing 15-20 seconds I see the amp is clearly in a very bad state the way it sounds so i stopp playing. Even at master 0,5 it gets an incredible distortion on the Clean channel. In true non linear active cuircuit style it had a much less poweful pick up earlier called Lace sencour Gold at 5,8 Khom and 2,4 Henries. The Vintsge Noiceless stacked Humbucker has 9,8 Khom and 3 Henries. You hear immidiately that the Vintsge Noiceless stacked shunvucker gets a LOT more decibels within the Non linear active cuircuit. When The Vintsge Noicrkess stacked Hunvucker is reaching the roof of the amp its 45 decibels louder than the laxe sencour Gold. Be carefull with your ears though as s guitar thats 105 decibels louder than a Stratocaster is 1 536 times louder. But is fun seeing how electrics CSN effect stuf like a guitar.
