If I have a capacitor connected to V_in and a diode (p-side facing the capacitor) and a resistor connected to the n-side of the diode to ground and I have to find the voltage at the p-side of the diode, how do I do it?

Thanks!

Please post a schematic of your problem, and someone may be able to help. It is really not easy to understand circuits from descriptions given in words.

You are not providing enough information to describe the situation. For example, what type of voltage source is it? Is it ac, dc? If ac what is the amplitude, frequency? What are the values of the resistor and capacitor? Provide a schematic (as Adjuster suggested) or give some detailed information on the components. You are asking for the "voltage at the p-side of the diode"; we cannot measure voltage at a point unless it is with reference to some point.

Cheers,
