actually its 74373,sorry for that. enclose with this is our description of our study:
TIME CLOCK SYSTEM
DESCRIPTION OF THE STUDY:
The purpose of this is to interface the clock to the computer regarding the teachers daily time record. Since most of the school have been using the Bundy Clock System that serves as the time of logging in and out for the teachers, which is done manually. The proponents then conduct a system study that could manage their time record automatically. The system displays the time using a numerical display, and when the teacher swipes in their id through a code scanner, the system automatically saves the time of the teacher upon logging in and prompts out a voice record entailing the time the teachers timed in and also the complete name of the teacher. The process is the same for the time out. The administrator is the one responsible for printing the summation of the teachers' time.
The proponent's goal is to provide a more convenient system, with the use of the computer, a more accurate, easier and secure time system.
The display will be a bit easier to do with 4 bit latches like 7475's. You may have to look high and low for TTL chips, unless your school has them in stock.
Briefly, the outputs from the latches go to the inputs on the '47 7 segment drivers. The '47 outputs go to the individual segment a - g. Check the outputs of the '47 to see if you need common anode or common cathode displays. You can gin up the latch - driver - display hookups on a breadboard.
The method you decide to use to latch the time into the '75's (or whatever you wish to use) is a bit more challenging. It will depend on the type of uC you are going to use. You may need a bit of external interface to do the data steering and latching.
I need a circuit diagram for this project.please!
