I have an amusing experiment with my smart phone charger. That is, after charging it fully, I connect its input and output toghether, and get surprise result.

Yes, the light is red as a signal of charging. In fact it is discharged

 

I'm sure the circuit is as confused as I am as to why you would do that.

 

Just for curiosity. I love experiment, you know

 

Next time, try something that isn't obviously useless.
