My Hikvision outdoor CCTV Cameras got burnt out after connecting it to the POE behind my Hikvision NVR
Can any one explain to me the cause of this?

Is the device intended to be powered by POE?

 

Yes, its powered only by POE

 

Did you call the manufacturer and discuss your problem with them or get a refund?

 

I have just sent then an email and received their response, i just hope they are able to identify the course.
i have already disconnected all the remaining cameras waiting for the diagnosis before i hang them again.

 

It's unlikely the POE switch, I've had one of my Hikvision cameras POE circuit fry from a bad cable connection. The external power plug still works so the camera was still good so I installed it with external power. They are a pretty good company so get an RMA for a new camera.
