Car wing mirror integrated LED circuit question

Hello.
I am looking for some help understanding the nature of this circuit board. It is sandwiched into the wing mirror glass of a Nissan car. It drives the LED which flashes when there is a car passing the blind spot.
When viewed from the driving seat, I had always assumed that the the LED was driven directly from the car and the circuitry was either in the mirror housing or car, as opposed to this which is laminated into the heated mirror glass.

I am just intrigued to know if it is a simple LED driver and flashing IC (I know very little about these things) or something more complex.
I would like to know if I could replicate the circuit without too much difficulty.

Many thanks, picture here.

Interesting piece. How about a picture of the back side? Simple answer is it shouldn't be hard to replicate. Not so simple answer is you'll have to find out or measure the voltages at the wires and try to determine what happens when the LED is supposed to light. Unfortunately this is one of those times where there is more than one way to get the job done and there is no standard way of doing things.

Thank you I have already refitted it inside the mirror housing on the end of the cable as the car detects its presence and flags a dashboard warning without it connected. I will have to see if I can get a photo of the back of it. But from memory, there was nothing of note (but untrained I may have overlooked that) It is interesting that the car knows when it is not connected. I originally thought it may just have been a resistor and timer circuit for the LED flashing. The problem is I don't have the expertise to identify the SMT components.

I was kind of hoping a back side picture would reveal the traces so we could at least see how things are connected. My guess is the larger two pin with three digits are resistors, the yellowish item is most likely a capacitor, and the three pin I'm not sure. My search didn't come up with anything positive as there aren't enough digits for Google to narrow it down to something useful. It may be a proprietary part also (highly unlikely, but still possible).

Most newer cars will detect just about anything that is not connected. It's really not too hard to do and in the interest of "safety" some things are required to be monitored. I would guess the reason for the dash light is to warn people their blind spot detection / warning isn't working correctly and they actually need to turn their head and look instead of just checking the light.

Yes agreed. I delaminated it from the glass in order to pass the MOT while i wait for the replacement to arrive as I was presume the warning light is a test failure. Thanks anyway.
