Car amp integrated crossover

I bought a generic amplifier for my car used. When I hooked it up there was no sound until I wiggled the crossover switch. It was a three position switch that is labeled low pass/ off/ high pass. I removed the switch from the circuit board because it was falling apart and I figured that was probably what was wrong with the amp. It was an 8 pinCan I use jumper instead of getting another switch if I only want to use the center/off setting
