Hello ,i need to build a power delivery network for my amplifier shown in the link below.
As you can see in the datasheet its DC with pulses.
I have the dilemma of working with 0508 or 0402,which one do you recommend to use?
i have DC going into the amplifiers with pulses ,which is better signal integrity wise?

32Ghz? That is faster than I go.
I would use a very small capacitor, 0402, because it has lower inductance and higher resonant frequency. I would use a 0402 almost toughing the power pin and them a 0805 back a small amount.

 

The same time, RonSimpsson, that is POWER booster thus the 35 dBm means 3.16 W.
Now, calulate with this in the mind the reactive power on that poor capacitor, and probably, the size will become to be altered because cooling. Thus, without the heatloss calculus let dont go even the single step.

 

Hello,i have two points:
1.my capacitor is going thew the DC route( i have a DC puse to consider) as shown in the red arrow
2.my capacitor is a decoupling one ,its built for 50V rating how do i knw it could handle the DC power?
3.given the circumstances do you reccomend 0402 or 0508? which is better?
