Hello , I recently found a new sewing machine I wish to repair. I know the problem is the motor capacitor , I just can't find what it's value is so I can buy a new one . Any help

Nothing is written on the motor unfortunately
motor was not running smooth and almost stopped when on load
Replaced with a much bigger cap (40uf) and the motor works but gets hot and starts to smell. I just need to find the right capacity

motor looks like it used to have a label but now its gone

 

If it's getting warm then it's taking more current, try lowering the capacitor to 10uF.

 

Make sure you obtain motor run capacitors, not just any type can work.
