Cant identify a diode

Greetings!

I have 3 diodes that were toasted in 3 different thermostats :(
I think I have found the root cause in the HVAC system and would like to repair these thermostats.
Using a magnifying glass I found that 2 of the 3 have:
SA51A
116E
The third has:
SA51A
0235

Here is a picture:

I've googled the numbers above, but nothing comes up that is a direct replacement.
What would be a replacement diode for these that I can get from mouser, or (preferably) E-Bay?

Just for my own knowledge, what is the difference between the 116E and 0235?
(Trying to learn a little about electronics as I go)

No idea. I never pay attention. It's probably a date code but it might also contain information about which facility it came out of. That's a lot to code into 4 characters, but I suppose it could be done.
