hi gvi,
Which part of the application sheet circuit for the LD1084 you cannot figure out.?
Post your proposed circuit, with component values and voltages, we can then check.

hi gvi,
As a demo simulation, this uses two LM317, assumed current limit per LM317 of 1.5Amp, set for +5Vout.

It appears to track OK for the loading.

hi gvi,
This is your ciruit in simulation.
You can see the value of Rslv is super sensitive to ensure tracking.
I will keep trying ideas.

The answer is simply yes! As paralleling distributes the heat and load in most ICs, however, frequent paralleling isn’t recommended.
