Can I use SR360 Schotty barrier rectifier instead of SB5H100

Have a beautiful 12V AC power adapter that came with a Seagate external HDD. Have been abusing it for the last 7 years or so - that included charging my often depleted car battery. I guess I shorted the output leads, for hours, when charging the battery the last time.

I am trying to fix it. There's a SB5H100 that has given up the ghost. It's a 5A 100V schottky diode barrier. Didn't find anything of the same specs in my components bin. And it shall be quite expensive ordering just one.

I have a SR360, which however is rated at 3A 60V. Would it work?

The AC power adapter output is rated at 12V 2A.

Comparative specs for SB5H100 and SR360, I have attached below

Simply too broad a question w/o knowing the design details of the
supply or the load. You simply do not know how much margin was
cranked into design by designer.

I would say no to a lesser part from a reliability point of view.
