Ahh the OP was asking about TMR0 anyhow. 
But you made me curious now. The datasheet shows TMR0 ext clock as 10nS minimum times, but TMR1 at 30nS minimum. I wonder why the difference when the PIC pin digital logic parts etc are all good for 50MHz? Maybe TMR1 has some filtering or extra capacitance as it also has a osc module available there?
Has anyone tested the actual max freq for asynch ext clock in on TMR1? I'm curious what the max clock-in freq actually is, especially if driven from a low enough impedance source (like a CMOS logic gate output).
