Bluetooth and Matlab

I am planning to do a project using bluetooth connection. So i like to know can Matlab can be used to program the bluetooth module? My master bluetooth module is Dell Inspiron 1420 wireless 355 Bluetooth module (2.0 + EDR). Thus if Matlab can be used to program it, how to select and initialize my bluetooth module on my laptop?

If no, what other programming laguage is more recommended? VC++?
