Recent years have witnessed a significant interest in understanding behaviour and functionalities of bio-nano-structures. These studies will ultimately lead to a new generation of nano-scale biological/chemical devices such as probes and sensors. Here we present our theoretical study on biomolecule functionalized carbon nanotube. The primary objective is to understand the interfaces and interactions between nanotube and biological molecules. Using molecular dynamics method, we study dynamical behaviours, functions and properties of bio-SWNT systems and discuss effects of temperature, pressure and nanotube size.
