Best tool chain in embedded system- Keil, GCC, IAR ?

I am fledging embedded system engineer. I came across different tool chains as listed above. I came to know that some are open source tool chains some are licensed. which would be best tool to use among above listed three tools. My company is using Keil, I would like to know when there are some open source tools available in the market why would we still need to go for licensed version tools ?
