Marion, the 12VDC/0.5A light in your post #18 does not have a rated power consumption of only 1W, it is 12V x 0.5A=6W.

If I might add, this is from the internet. And you KNOW everything you read on the internet is true. Right ? ? ? I don't believe those numbers, but that's what I found so far.

I haven't done current tests yet. I have an appointment in an hour. When I get back I'll power one up with 13.8 VDC and measure the current at that voltage.
