Could be tough. About the only thing that comes to mind is to find the contacts for the power button and short them. Hypothesis is that the switch itself is bad and everything else is OK. That's a stretch, but possible.

The photo isn't clear but it looks like the white wire may not be solidly connected to the board?

Yes I say a DVOM/DMM is going to be needed and a Schematic if one can be found. Is there some type of light show on this swing because it looks like there are 12 LEDs on that side of the board?

on the left of the picture it looks like there is something that might be missing and the area looks like there may have been water damage in that area? (Next to C41)

maybe take out the screws and see what is on the other side of this double sided board. It could be that the problem is on the other side. Besides some wire solder joints on the white wire or failing wire anyway it don't really look to bad other then the left side where it looks like there maybe some water damage. Can we get a picture of the other side of the board?

after reading your post again. I thought I would look over things on the net for issues with these swings. From the sounds of it and from what you are saying as well in your post it almost sounds like the issue could be a bad motor.

Now the problem with that is. From what I have read and researched for a very short time there is a replacement motor however it is a short shaft motor and would need some mod to make it work by taking the motor apart from the old and new to make a replacement of shaft. Or I guess there is another option of about 30 from the Swing Manufacture.

Your post said Motor measuring fine so I take that to be that your testing the motor contacts on PCB and has power at the Contacts so that tells me that it is shot just like all the others out there with bad brushes in the swings motors.

You think it could be the motor when nothing else is working either? There is sounds as well and when I push the power button, nothing happens. I have attached a pic of the other side of the board.

I guess I don't understand 100%. From the sounds of what I read that you tested power and it was getting to the motor leads?

I am not sure and hard to guess really what may or may not be wrong with this.

If it was mine, I would De-Solder one of the leads off PCB for the motor and test it without the motor connected. It could be that the type of fail has caused the system to go into protection mode? This would or could shut the system down to preserve its other parts. Maybe even look at the motor and find something for a test that will fit within same or close settings to see if that functions. Sorry it is hard for me to articulate what I am thinking.

I guess what I am trying to say. Find something that will work under same type Volts, Current install that in the place of the motor and see if the unit functions as it should. Or even do as I was saying before remove one of the leads from the PCB for the motor and see if other things that are no longer working start to work

Ok Let me think about this some more?

You testing the board it has power?

Or did you mean you tested the Motor area of the board and it had power when turned on? with your last post it sounds like there is power to the board at the input but there is no power going anywhere?

With the face off test the Power buttons pad for resistance. This isn't the area on the pcb I am talking about the PADS on the buttons that connect to the board when you screw it on. It could be that the switch isn't working?

Sorry at times it is hard to understand what is going on with out touching or seeing what is going on first hand.
