You don't need to shout at the top of your lungs. A conversational tone will suffice.

I know a great deal about the aurora. I know that it arises from collisions between energetic particles of the solar wind and gas molecules in the upper atmosphere. The absorption of energy moves the elctrons of the gas molecules into new orbits with higher energy. When those electrons fall back toward the nucleus they emit light of various wavelengths as they give up their energy in discrete quanta.

Was that enough or do you need more?

The "Aurora" does not wait for answers. The "Aurora" has no questions. Most photoelectic phenomena are simply content to be rather than to ask. In a way, we could say that the "Aurora" exists in a state of zen.
