in LTSpice or ORCAD, I have to design it

 

Here is the circuit diagram for a volume control. For a preamplifier, use a potentiometer with a linear or log taper. (Use log taper for the final amplifier.)



Edit: I've got glasses but they need cleaning. I read volume control.

That's pretty helpless, in this day and age.

Google 'voltage controlled audio preamplifier' and you'll find plenty of solutions. Dig a little deeper and there's plenty of theory too.

Usually,the first step in creating a design is to decide on the requirements. So if the TS wants some help it will be useful to know what the requirements will be. And that other website has a whole lot of preamplifier circuits available for free.
