From my understanding of what has been written this far, analogue on a large scale is more power hungry and less controllable than the digital equivalent. Have I understood correctly? Small scale BEAM robots which are more artificial life than artificial intelligence are ok for the hobbyist but building a large scale robot with ANN is better served with digital infrastructure because it is less power hungry and the components are cheaper. Okay. Thank you all who have put in a lot of meaningful input.
