The actual rope memory modules used in the computer were awesome examples of 1960's handmade technology.
The 1202 error was one error that the astronauts hadn't trained for in their simulations. When it first showed, Apollo 11 had to radio Houston to find out what it was. Not the kind of situation you would want to be in when you are at 1000 feet and descending to the lunar surface.
