Any way to fix bad breadboards?

I have some tiny breadboards that I like to use for small circuit prototypes, but I have trouble sometimes when using them with ICs and other sensitive circuitry because the connections aren't too good. I haven't been putting components with wide leads into the breadboards. Is there a way I can fix it?

Cleaning it with contact cleaner might help but by the time you buy the cleaner and take the time to try it, you may be better off just buying a new breadboard.

It depends on the nature of the bad connections.

If they're due to the contacts not making good contact because the gap is too large, you could try removing them and closing the gap. If they're cheap boards and have poorly formed contacts, not much you can do to make it easier to insert leads.
