Hi. A faucet that features only shower and no tub spout. Can the tub spout be added by paralleling a 'T' at the upper shower branch and a tub spout with a stopper at bottom ?

I see no reason you can't using a pipe T.
The water will flow to the tube with the spout open, and to the shower with the spout closed.
Put the T as close to the spout as you can with a large pipe to the spout.

In my house the valve has a yellow pipe going down that is the same as the yellow pipe going up.
If you do not have the pipe going down you should be able to add a "T" and go to the tub.

You can buy a bathtub spout with a diverter. Then it's a matter of running the diverted water supply up to a shower head and they make fixtures for that. Electrical we have the NEC Codes, no clue if your location has plumbing codes. :) Anyway, yes to answer your question with the right hardware. Things look a little like this, only pretty.

Typical shower valve. Left & Right is to the water supply. (hot & cold). Up and down are outlets, and are the same.

We have a better image than I came up with. :)

Yes and for temperature control. Two inlets, one hot and one cold. One outlet for the mix. Next route the mix to either the shower head or the bathtub spout. I showed images but I don't have a blend valve but rather separate hot and cold. What part are you not quite understanding? The answer to your initial post is a yes.
