So I went to the ER last Tuesday on 11/ 24/ 25 5:00PM their nurse there said they could get me home do to their overestimate on what they had available they tried to send me home in an ambulance and wanted me to leave my ultra new ultra expensive power chair at the hospital. That was not going to happen in my book so I slept in the in the examination room as long as I could, then they kicked me out into the waiting room while I waited 7 hours in my chair before I call the paratransit company take me home this meant I had less than three hours sleep for the last day and was at home at 10:00 PM next morning. I was pretty fried. I'd have to do it again 'cause there's no way I'm gonna leave a wheelchair in a hospital and hope they don't lose it. I now have antibiotics which is what I really needed they did a ultrasound and found a permanent blockage in one of my arteries that is contributing to this wound on my leg in preventing it from healing properly. If I had to I'd do it again but it was a very unpleasant experience.

I went to the hospital this Monday and I have been there all week, the wound on my leg they got infected again and I needed that to be treated while they were about it they found a root cause for a lot of it in the form of a DVT blood clot that has been badly misdiagnosed for the last eight years or so one of my arteries in my leg near where my two leg arteries joined together ( not sure what it is called). I was pretty out of it during the week so I did not notify the other staff what I was doing . I feel bad about it but there was really nothing I could do. Originally they thought it was a slot smaller than it was this sucker went from mid thigh leg all the way near the split I was talking about .

Oh Wow!! BUT knowing what a problem is makes a start toward fixing it.
Our thoughts will be with you this week and from now on.

Have to strongly agree with Mister Bill2 above. Finally knowing the problem is a big step in fixing the problem. Just hang tight and let the doctors do their thing.

Still a little out of it. Had some serious catching up w/ things like laundry and groceries. I find my brain fog is back. I had just noticed it was gone too before I went to the hospital..

Wendy, yes, rehab sucks. However as much as I disliked it following a motorcycle crash I discovered no pain, no gain. They know what they are doing. While my heart goes out to you just try and deal with it.

So I'm stuck in rehav, withhnow way of knowing when I'll get out
Demand to know what the plan is. That is your right. My wife’s cousin was stuck in rehab for 9 months and they were doing nothing to rehab her! (they claim she refused PT). My wife, another cousin, and a health care advocate (AKA shill for assisted living facilities) went through hell and high water to finally get her out.

I researched the legal issues. Assuming you are in the US, no doctor or facility has the legal right to keep you from leaving, unless they have you declared incompetent in court and they are appointed your guardian. So, assert your rights and don’t ket them tell you otherwise. They WILL lie to you. Hire a lawyer if necessary.

That being true, just walk out since you dislike it so much. Please say that you know why you are there. Placing you there should have been between you and your doctor. As long as you have not been declared mentally incompetent by a court and I assume you are in Texas, USA. Just walk out.

To Ron’s post, I would add: if you are able. In the case I referred to, she was not able. She could not even transfer from bed to a wheelchair without assistance.

One of the gadgets I miss most is a mic to use the speech to text convertor built into Win which means I have to hunt and peck to post, I'll be going home next week (fingers crossed).

Well alrighty then, I assume you have adjusted and look forward to going home next week. I was going to organize a Militia to come and bust you out. OK, we will forgo the Militia plan and just wait for them to spring you. Thanks for the update and Wendy, just order a mic from Amazon or similar.

I'm back, a little worse for wear. The sepsis that sent me to the ER is still showing itself in the form of brain fog. But the way to work around that is just work through it. I now have my speech to text converter working, which means I can now post again.

My ender 3 pro printer died Thursday,as it happens I have a major savings program as part of my finances specifically for me so I was able to buy a
ELEGOO Centauri Carbon 3D Printer for $350.72.

as much as I like the old printer it was destroyed I think a fan in the print head died, resulting in a massive meltdown of anything plastic in the print head. As I understand it they have a new head that has nothing but metal parts in it that this should not be a problem in the future, however this new printer is so superior among other things you can do is ABS plastic.

It can also do multi color spools which I decided not to get, also on the advice of my friend.

This printer comes with a built in Wi-Fi interface which I can access directly with a IP address or use my Orca slicer to control directly.
