There is a copper lug crimper for use in a vise ebay 390761720811
Also search ebay 'Copper Lug Crimper' for the larger lugs.

This is my "go-to" tool for up to #10 even though I have ratchet type.

+1 I use this same type; I had a thomas & betts, lost it, got a klein, and they are both identical to the Ideal brand pictured. I have used more expensive types in the past (like the ones OP linked, et. al.) and they are no more functional, just more moving parts to break, heavier, and take up more room in the tool bag.

Is this worth paying for? Have you tried it out yet? I'm leery of it; looks like cheap china... but it would be nice to have a heavy gauge crimper that doesn't require a truck bed to accommodate it.

No haven't tried it.
Got both 8 and 16 ton.
It's something I've wanted but couldn't justify T&B pricing. It looks great for the price. Lots of dies.

If you are serious I'll test it.
It is definitely Chinese.
Probably only for careful occasional use.

I'm impressed.
Might have been one size two small.
Squeezed the heck out of it.
#4 cu.
Not bad. I will have to think about it. I wouldn't use it more than once/month at most. We have one of the long 4' handle crimpers at the shop; I have to go pick them up any time I need them. This would save me a trip.
