Dear All

Good Evening

Kindly confirm if faulty ADC ie AD 7874AR can cause wrong current measurement as we are getting a fault "Current measurement wrong" in a digital drive controller and we suspect this might be due to faulty AD 7874AR

Sure.. a faulty ADC can cause incorrect readings..
But so could a fault in really ANY component in that circuit.

Without a complete schematic and a much more detailed explanation of the problem you/we are just guessing.

We have swapped ADC ie AD 7874AR from similar drive but still same error

We are checking drive at Lab by just giving 24VDC that means there is no load on drive and hence we suspect wrong error due to faulty sensing ICs

We also find XC3020 on the PCB , can faulty XC3020 also cause wrong error related to current measurement, kindly confirm

oh my...
Lets try this.. fun time...

Oh wait you have the XC3020... Yes ..Thats the problem. However you cannot repair it. You need to buy a new complete replacement drive.

Thanks for ur support

Even we swapped XC3020 from another ok and similar drive, still could not fix error

All ressistors, diodes etc checked found ok

Details of other ICs not legible hence unable to proceed further

Regards
