Hello All

I have a Dragon Touch action cam
Currently the up button is stuck in down position. Pressed too hard and not coming up.
Any ideas what or how to fix
Thanks Tim

I am not familiar with the "Dragon Cam" device, but for stuck buttons I have had some success with using a very thin object between the button and the housing. That works when the stuck condition is caused by the button becoming "slightly cocked-off" in the opening.

Recently the wife's computer keyboard started entering an unknown character. She couldn't log in. Apparently she had spilled something on the keyboard and made sticky keys. During the night one of the cats slept on the KB and made the key stick. When she turned the computer on, after it loaded the OS, it went to the login screen. Immediately it began filling the mystery key stroke over and over. She wasn't able to log in. Simply cleaning the keyboard solved the problem. Your switch, which is what the keys on a KB are, may be stuck from some foreign object or dried fluid.

In the end, if it's a damaged switch then the obvious solution is to replace the switch with the appropriate replacement.

A WHILE BACK, back during the plague going around, SOME FOOL used hand sanitizer on our church's lift's call button,. This caused the button to stick in and hold the door open so the lift was not able to be used. So somebody forced the door closed. That damage cost over $3000 to repair.

The repair guy "fixed" the stuck button with a shot of WD40. That "fix" lasted only a few hours, and the button was sticking again.

I completed the lasting repair in the very early morning, which was removing the button and washing it for about 15 minutes under very hot water flowing rapidly out of the tap.
My point being that possibly a hot water wash might free the button. Maybe.
It might also work, if the TS has some really sticky adhesive stuff, to put a small dab of it on the end of a bit of dowel and carefully stick it to the button and try to pull it up. AND, in desperation, try banging it down on a table. Sometimes banging works. But not too hard or it breaks things.

We don't know for sure if it's a stuck button or if it was jammed by someone putting more pressure on it than it was designed to handle. It could be damaged.

Yes it was pressed too hard. Micro dome switch. Crushed
I'm going to open it up and see if i can gain access. Then see if it will simply pop up with a poke or two
