I hardly go out now. Wife is in India and I just hang around in the house bored to death.
Last night I took a stroll and saw rather large crowd near a hotel building. They were looking up and me too was trying to see what they were looking at. I had no clue what was going on and I am on my cycle in the middle of the road , looking up, back, swaying my head till I can hear bones cracking, but I see nothing.

Then suddenly the crowd started to roar,, I was jammed behind a bus. Looked back and saw male and female, two cops on their way to the office on a cycle. It happens to be they were passing by and the crowd actually was there for something else. The roar got louder and the two cops just drove by my side slowly, they couldn't either go due to traffic and the crowd.

I duuno what happened (but I know why this is happening) suddenly it started, the crowd nearly skinned them. They gathered around the two cops and there were so many people I couldn't even move the cycle. They were Shouting, yelling and I was again right smack in the middle. I can hear them. Shouting, yelling, "globber them"...

It was wrong...way wrong. We are hurting our own people due to some greedy officials. I wanted to open my mouth to not to hurt the cops but if I did, I dunno , I would be the next victim. I just prayed to God that they would get out safely.

I am scared and I just can't u know get a good rest or work or do anything due to this civil unrest. My little brother is a Cop, and if any one did anything to him, I dunno what I would do. I am crying for his well being. It is his job and he can't either quit. His wife is a month pregnant and if he is seen in the uniform the people might attack him and he is not like them well built types. He does a desk job. I know no one would care here. Who ever it is, they might just attack.

I just dunno what to do .....1 I fear for my family now. If any of my kins is beaten I dunno what will come over me...

Guys.! Help.

I hope things settle out for you soon. No real "News" about Maldives here, it's all Syria and adjacent countries.

If you can somehow get on the news here, I'm sure you'd have support. You aren't far from Diego Garcia, problem is that air support is limited, as it's a civil uproar, those need many soldiers on the ground, and not many countries want to get into something that requires soldiers. Bombs are relatively cheap, look at Egypt, for example.
