So I clicked on a link that almost looked like a Mandala LED Chaser (which after making a 100 LED chaser, I thought "whoa I could do something really fun" (fading in a circle, pulsing, or just chasing in general). I can't find a screenshot of what it looked like but you can imagine.

Regardless, I'm thinking I'd love to take the 100 LEDs I just made into a chaser and either control them with a dsPIC or the like; and have multiple function modes. Has anyone seen anything like this? It looked like a rose or mandala of TH LEDs going ROYGBIV from outside to the inside.

If you've seen something like this before, let me know. It'd be great to have but I know it would require firmware and I'm admittedly a analog kinda guy.

 

Welcome back. New project should be a snap, only individual control of about 100 RGB LEDs. I'll be watching from the side lines.

Might shrink the project. There seems to be 5 rings so might make each ring, X3, all parallel or series.
Now only need 15 controls?
