If X is equal to Y, Y equals to Z, Z equals to A, A equals to B, and B equals to 17.

What is the product of (X)(Y)(Z)(A)(B)?

Congratulations , that is one hell of an achievement!

I am hoping to start my A-levels soon but I am still getting my head around a few things. Is further maths A2 maths? I can not see any mention of further maths on my college website.

 

I was told by my teachers that in the first year, further maths has more of an engineering slant to it, but in the second year its alot more pure maths.

In short, its an add-On for the maths course.

Someone else should verify my a-swer first though!

Futher Maths includes:

Mechanics 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5
Futher Pure 1 to four

Futher maths is A2 not AS (as far as i know)
It is more pure in the second year but you can choose which modules you want to take and when. I took all five mechanics and further pure 1 and 3.

FP3 includes things like second order differentials etc.
Mechanics is like engineering

 

Electronics: A
Computing: A
Physics: C <-- Kinda disappointing, aiming for B
Maths (Decision): D <-- Expected

I really wish my college would add electronics GCSEs and A-Levels as I would take them in an instant. Still maths physics should give me a lot of useful information.

By pure maths do you simply mean working on equations rather than tackling real world dilemmas such as finding out how far a ladder is from a wall using a protractor instead of your tape measure? Bad joke from something in a textbook that I remember. Good old trigonometry.
