cool... love inverted pendulums.
this was one of the things as a student i had to do in the lab.
equipment we had available had rotary axis rather than linear. so no endless "walking" or side stepping possible.
also linkages on our system were very lightweight (low inertia) and that really played into speed limit of the actuator.
in this video they use heavy rods but nevertheless, very impressive and always fun to watch.
