3 phase PWM with dsPIC33fj16gs502

I am trying to create a BLDC motor controller using the dsPIC33fj16gs502 and have been running into some trouble generating 3 phase PWM signals. I have been attempting to use a timer interrupt to step through a sine lookup table and adjust the duty cycle of the 3 PWM modules accordingly. Is there anything inherently wrong with that theory? or something I am not accounting for with that idea? Is there a better way to accomplish my goal that I have over looked?
