Can I connect a 277 volt light with a transformer to a 120 volt that runs other lights or do I have to run its own line

Is your transformer a 120vac to 277vac transformer? If it is, then go ahead. Make certain your connections are correct. If the transformer is not 120 to 277, then you're out of luck.

You can run the transformer in the same line where you have the other lights. No problem. The concept of line is a faulty one. After all, all the lights end up to be in parallel, right?

the only problem is to find a transformer with the desired ratings,
go for a 120/277 volts transformer which can handle the min reqd power.
