hi, i really want to know if a transformer or power supply of 250v 7.5a can run a pedestal fan. I checked the plug for the power outlet and it says 250v 7.5a. is this right? i just want to power the fan without the power outlet. if this is right could anyone tell me where i can purchase a power supply or transformer and if i can go to 10 amps instead of 7.5. Ive been searching but have not found anything suitable. thanks :)

inside with the motor is says 18 motor 220v-240v 50hz 65 watts. and I would like to use a very small power input for the transformer if that is possible.

It is a very small motor. The term used to describe such is fractional HP motors. The one in question is around 1/10 to 1/12 HP.

You could run it easily at 30 to 50% of rated voltage, BUT you might have to give the fan blades a push to get it to started.

The motor is a fractional horsepower motor.

It is a 220 volt motor, Europe style 50 Hz from your description.

It WILL WORK acceptably on standard US 120 volt 60 Hz as well. It just moves air. This isn't an industrial motor so 7.5 amp power supplies aren't need. You need half of 1 single amp of alternating current from a plug to make the fan work.
