Hi,
I'd be glad to help you, but your specs are too vague for me to answer you. Here is some basic information I would need to help you:
--Input Voltage level and whether AC or DC.
--Available input current
--Maximum allowable ripple
--Maximum allowable line and load regulation
I think you are looking for a DC-DC converter, but I need you to confirm that information before I spend my time helping you. Also, tell me what the power supply load is (what will it be powering?).
When you reply with that, I'll answer you with details.

If you are talking about trying to make a power supply connected to power mains without a transformer, well, I expect this thread to be closed shortly. There is no safe way to make a power supply without using a transformer.

Personally I recommend a wall wart.

Hello,

A powersupply without a transformer WILL NOT BE SAFE.
The use of a transformer is a MUST.
There are circuits as SMPS that are small, but still use a transformer.
