1) We, as humans, are all in over our head......
Just look at the crazy stuff we
do to each other.
2) When you change a component first you close the graph window, then change
it, and re-run sim. At least that's what works for me.
3) When you place LM317, the input is on left side of symbol, output on right. Crappy
symbol, should have labeled it so user would know.
4) DC-DC does provide fixed output once set. Its adjustable with a pot, once
adjusted its essentially fixed, within its regulation specs. For sim purposes,
in this case where you probably do not care about its transient response or
startup behavior, you can sub a Vsource for it. Same could be said for LM317.
