pic me 16f877a downloader says 'no bootloader found' everytime i try to burn a program, until i found out that the serial cable is broken/defective. is there any way to make my own serial to 4 pin connector cable? immediate answer is highly apprediated . TIA

You need a preprogrammed 16F877A a blank or new one is blank.
